Who is Jason Malone?

 I'm a Professional Menswear Designer from New York City.

I research, design, and merchandise Men's / Boys Apparel, including Sportswear, Active, Formal, Street, Casual, Outerwear, Footwear Headwear, and Accessories.

I've filled a wide range of roles; from Design Manager to Intern and everything in between.

I have in-depth experience in Team Management, Cut & Sew, Technical, Graphic Design Merchandising, Factory Communication, and Sampling.

I've designed for Private Label, Off-Price, Dept Stores, Licensed

and Big Box Retailers.

I've learned to research and fully understand a brand before getting into design.  Then, taking full responsibility for design and follow-up

I create the line / collection with snapshots for

progress and feedback.

As a design software expert, I use Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) to create the majority of work.

I also use MS Office (Word, XL, etc.), PLM, and File Sharing Systems.

I've communicated with partnering factories regarding technical design, production, revisions and proper sampling, via detailed

tech packs, emailing, and virtual meeting.

Having designed for major brands to small companies and individuals, I have full and focused skillset, that I tailor

to each different role and brand(s).

 As a lifelong artist, I've always had a talent for  expressing and understanding art & design.  As a teen, I began designing on paper.

Having had my first experience with Digital Design in my early 20's,

I built on that by attending 2 colleges for Fine Arts

Graphic Design, and Menswear. 

 I began interning during college to learn the basics of design and the fashion business. Shortly after that I began designing professionally, contributing high-caliber design to major

brands and companies ever since.
